Ever since I created a health-centered Instagram account, I’ve been dying to try out some of the recipes I’ve seen people publish.
Yesterday, I tried a two-ingredient recipe for Parmesan Crisps, which can be found here. These were so simple to make, and it took less than ten minutes to prepare!
Basically, all you have to do to make these perfect is line a baking sheet with parchment paper, create small piles of cheese on the sheet, and place a pepperoni slice on top. It’s as simple as that!
I made mine a little different than the person I got the recipe from. For one, I added turkey pepperoni instead of the typical pork kind. I haven’t eaten red meat in a solid two years, so I’ve been incorporating it back into my diet SLOWLY. I still try to find white meat substitutes when I can, and this was one of the times I made that happen. Second, my seasoning is a bit more apparent, and I think that’s because we used different spices. She didn’t specify which seasonings she used in her crisps, but I used Italian seasoning and a bit of seasoning salt in mine.
Overall, these were delicious, and I’ll definitely be making them again. In the future though, I need to make my cheese piles a little more spread out and a little more uniform so each one comes out looking more circular than…octopus shaped 😂. I know these snacks are perfectly keto, and using different brands, they can be adjusted to fit many different diets! I may mess around and try to make these fit other diet types, and I’ll let ya’ll know how that goes.
